Volotea headquarters are located in Barcelona, Spain, being its principal markets Italy, France, and Spain. Their operational bases are Italy (Venice, Palermo & Verona), France (Nantes, Bordeaux, Strasbourg andToulouse), and Spain (Asturias). Volotea is looking for the Flight Operations Engineering Manager who will be responsible for supporting andguaranteeing the compliance of all regulatory performance requirements for all current and potential operational needs.
Leading a team of more than 6 people, s/he will be responsible of developing all flight operations documentation prior to the day of operation and ensure that the flight crew has all required documentation to operate Volotea airplanes in a safe, legal and cost effective manner.The role will report to the Flight Operations Director with regular interaction with the COO and other senior leaders. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with others is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Airports analysis and approvalRoute analysis and approval.
Design and validation of special procedures for engine failure.
Aircraft performance (takeoff, landing, inflight)
Weight and balance, Load Control, and loadsheet design.
CLC support.
Assessment and monitoring of aircraft’s performance degradation.
Technical support to flight dispatch.
Special dispatch procedures (MEL/CDL items, landing gear down …).
Technical documentation of the aircraft (AFM, FCOM, OM, W&B …).
Operations Manual edition and coordination with the related responsible for its production within the AOC.
Interaction with Civil Aviation Authority.
Navigation databases management.
Fuel consumption monitoring.
Managing fuel efficiency program and savings initiatives.
Project Management.
Operational data analysis.
PROFILE
Aeronautical Engineer Master/Bachelor Degree
.Candidates will ideally have 5 years’ experience in airline flight operations department and highunderstanding of the aviation operational environment. An analytical and process-focused mind, as well asproven leadership and change management expertise.
Fluency in English language is required. Spanish, French and/or Italian a plus.
The role is based in Barcelona, Spain; however some travel within the Europe may benecessary.
